You're
the yin to my yang, the ping to my pong, the normal to my crazy. Let's be us
together. ~ Paul, The Big C
Is it truly possible for complete opposites to not only
attract but actually work? I pose this question as I have observed many seemingly opposite individuals come together and attempt to create the synergy
necessary to have a successful and satisfying relationship. Is it that they are truly the juxtaposition
of each other or merely the balancing out of each other that makes it work?
Gravitating towards like things and thus like-minded things
is human nature. But what if you are
thrown into the deep end without a life preserver and find yourself being
rescued by the unexpected? While there
is comfort in the known perhaps it is time to throw caution to the wind and
welcome the opposite; embrace the yin to your yang. Perhaps it is okay
to explore what you would never dream of and maybe find the proverbial pot at
the end of the rainbow. Perhaps being
drawn out of your shell by the least likely of candidates might be just what
the universe intended after all.
