There’s often a moment when you are navigating a
relationship where you have to stop, regroup and decide what you truly want
from the relationship. Is it possible
that you are trying to push a square peg into a round hole and that the
frustrating nature of the relationship is perhaps a sign that there is
something fundamentally wrong?
Relationships are like puzzles with pieces that fit together
and belong. Each piece is an important
part of the whole. Together they, quite simply, work. The problem arises
when we try to put two pieces together that don’t belong. Perhaps they seem like a fit; perhaps the
pieces maybe, kind-of do. Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try, try to make those seemingly compatible pieces fit, there comes a point
when one must decide it’s time to concede - to let go and move on to another piece of the puzzle...or another relationship. No doubt a difficult thing to recognize but even more difficult to actually do. Sometimes no matter how hard you try, no matter how much you want it to fit, no matter how perfect it seems, there is no will strong enough to fit that square peg into that
round hole. Realizing this and yes, moving on is the first step towards finding the two pieces that truly do belong together.
