“Adelie penguins spend their whole
lives looking for that one other penguin and when they meet them, they know.
And they spend the rest of their lives together.” ~ Josie, Never Been Kissed
Human beings
are creatures of attachment. Like those
Adelie penguins out in the wild, we go through life forming bonds with other
human beings. Some are obvious,
fulfilling and natural. Others are hard
work, frustrating, and full of heartache.
They can be consuming, inconvenient and occasionally ridiculous. Or even earth shattering, momentous and life
changing. We are like moths drawn to a
flame, our spirit searching for that one person who will stir our soul and at
the same time tame us.
But is it possible that some are simply not meant to be
tamed? Perhaps instead there are those
that need to run free and can only be truly happy when they find that
someone just as wild to run with them.
