Journeys end in lovers meeting?

The intellectual in me completely understands Shakespeare's meaning when he penned these words:

"Journeys end in lovers meeting,
Every wise man's son doth know."

We spend a lifetime searching for true love and it is in finding it that our journey, our lives are complete.  But as I read these words again, the heart tells me something different and asks so many questions.  Are we destined to embark on this quest for love and cherish the adventures as we are looking?  Are there truly those out there that know with certainty that love is the light at the end of the tunnel and therefore follow blindly towards it?  Are some of us merely wondering aimlessly searching for the holy grail, if you will, with the promise of a lovers meeting only to come up empty time after time after time?

Unfortunately, I have no steadfast and true answer to any of these questions.  But I can offer this - every journey has its ups, its downs and while the end might be true love, it is never the journeys end but merely the beginning.
