Life Unexpected

There’s a strange thing that happens when your life turns upside down. It can be because of love, or the illusion of love.  It can be because of boredom or the familiarity of complacency.  It can be because of difficulties at work or the overwhelming rat race of it all.  No matter the situation, when life turns upside down, it’s easy to get caught up in the drama and forget what really matters.  Often, we are so immersed in our own narcissism that we forget what’s important.  It’s not always how we affect the world, but often how we react to the way the world affects us.
Think of the roller coaster. What is the ultimate goal of the ride? You follow the twists and turns, you surge up and plummet down, in some instances you might even be turned upside down.  But in truth, what is the point?  It is the thrill of the ride – the rush of the unknown and the butterflies in your stomach as you experience the unexpected.  This is your life.  The unexpected.  We must learn to embrace the craziness, face the challenges, and stop sweating the small stuff.  Cliché? Perhaps, but still an absolute truth.  For it is only when we learn to let go and accept the upside down that we truly begin to live.
